Oh, crap. I forgot to mention Bacchus. Mostly because my camera crapped out and I didn't get any pictures. But the theme for Bacchus was "Bacchus Salutes the Greatest Generation." I have some beads that have the WWII Museum logo on them, the Bacchus Krewe partnered up with them.
My favorite was probably the Rosie the Riveter float. Stupid camera!
It was a fun, but loooooong day. At the end of Bacchus we were so tired- feet sore, legs cramped, throats hoarse from shouting. I wanted to stay for Endymion, but I knew we would not be able to make it.
Mardi Gras is a serious marathon. And it's not just like a drinking marathon- even pacing carefully on that front is no guarantee you won't burn out on the parade front.
There were 23 parades, more or less, this season. I went to 12 of them (assuming I make Zulu and Rex tomorrow morning). Twelve parades! You'd think that's a lot. But it's barely half.
Zulu rolls at 8am tomorrow- I've got to go get my beauty sleep! Will be bringing the spare batteries this time for the camera, and I hope to have some good pictures to share.
See y'all on the other side!
