Farmers Market

I checked out the Uptown Farmers Market that runs on Tuesday late morning/early afternoon (9am-1pm). I tried to time it for around lunchtime because I thought I might hit the lunch tent. I didn't end up doing that, and next week I will go straight after dropping Tom off at work. I missed out on some stuff being sold out, notably fish, shrimp, and chanterelle mushrooms. I did end up buying:

- pork belly
- lump crab meat
- 4 ears of corn on the cob
- a basket of small orange tomatoes
- a sweet potato hand pie
- peaches
- fresh pasta: artichoke/fennel ravioli and oregano papperdelle
- puttenesca pasta sauce
- lemon basil pesto
- milk
- eggs

whoo hoo! I think I'm going to make a corn and crab bisque tonight, we'll have a couple pasta dinners, and I will bring back the peach upside down cakes. Or maybe a pie? Must work out what to do with the pork belly...
