Dinner last night

We've been eating a lot more at home, which has been helpful for the budget (extremely necessary, now that we are paying off moving/settling in costs). Last night was our farmers market fridge cleaner meal.

Tom panfried a half pound of sea bream, bought at the market on Saturday. We topped it with a fresh cilantro chipotle pesto from the Pesto Guy (he also makes a parsley pesto that I *love*- we are having that tonight on some grocery store tortellini.) I made a sauteed summer squash dish with summer squash, zucchini, fresh corn cut off the cob, and creole tomatoes. All of that was bought at the farmers market either this past Saturday or the Saturday before. Also involved: green onions, garlic, basil, and flat leaf parsley. Those items were purchased at Rouses. The only herbs at the farmers market are in pots. We should maybe think about getting some...

Mmm, summer.
